White Friday UAE marketing on WhatsApp works when the preparation happens weeks before the sale: an early-access list, templates approved in advance, stock checked and payment links ready. On the day, the job is fast replies, and afterwards it is follow-ups and reviews. This countdown checklist takes you from four weeks out to the week after the sale. It is part of our WhatsApp marketing guide for the UAE.
What White Friday is in the UAE
White Friday is the Middle East’s version of Black Friday. Amazon’s advertising guide describes it as “a shopping holiday in the Middle East in November” that “typically offers four days of shopping discounts and deals”, celebrated in the UAE and Saudi Arabia and since extended to other countries in the region.
According to the same Amazon Ads guide, the event begins on the Friday after Thanksgiving in the United States. By that rule, White Friday 2026 starts on 27 November. Retailers set their own sale dates, though, and many start earlier or run longer, so decide your own window and tell customers clearly.
For a small business, White Friday is less about competing with large marketplaces and more about giving existing customers a good reason to buy from you this month.
Four weeks out: list and templates
This is the most important stage, because approvals and lists take time.
- Build an early-access list. Invite customers to reply “YES” if they want to hear about your White Friday offers first. This gives you clear, recent consent for this campaign.
- Clean your contact list. Remove duplicates, numbers without consent and anyone who asked to stop. WhatsApp’s Business Messaging Policy requires opt-in and respect for every opt-out request.
- Write and submit templates. Prepare the announcement, the reminder and the post-sale thank-you as marketing templates in English and Arabic. Submit them early, so you have time to fix any rejections.
- Decide your offer window and the products included.
The help article on message templates explains how to create and submit them in your account.
Hello {{1}}, our White Friday offers start on {{2}}. Want first access before they go live? Reply YES and we will send them to you the evening before.
One week out: stock and offers
- Check stock. Confirm quantities for every product in the offer. Nothing frustrates a customer more than paying for an item that has sold out.
- Finalise offers. Make each offer clear: what is included, the sale dates and any limits. Avoid vague claims.
- Update your website and catalogue so product pages, options and photos are correct.
- Prepare answers. List the questions customers will ask, such as delivery times, returns, sizes and payment options, and add the answers to your AI agent’s knowledge.
- Plan staff cover for the busiest hours, including evenings and the weekend.
- Test the full journey: message, product link, basket, payment and order confirmation.
On the day: replies and payment links
On sale days, speed of reply matters more than another broadcast. Customers who message you are ready to buy, and a slow answer can send them elsewhere.
- Send your announcement to the early-access list first, then to the wider opted-in list.
- Reply to every chat quickly. Use quick replies for common questions and let your AI agent handle repeat ones.
- Send a payment link as soon as a customer confirms their choice, so they can pay in the chat.
- Keep an eye on stock, and stop promoting items that sell out.
- Hand complaints and unusual requests to a person.
Some customers will build a basket and not pay. A polite reminder with the payment link brings many of them back. Our guide to abandoned cart reminders on WhatsApp covers timing and wording.
Hi {{1}}, your basket is still saved: {{2}}. The White Friday price applies until {{3}}. Here is your payment link if you would like to complete the order.
After the sale: follow-ups and reviews
The days after White Friday are a chance to turn one-off buyers into regular customers.
- Order updates: keep customers informed about dispatch and delivery.
- Thank-you message: a short note a few days after delivery.
- Review request: invite happy customers to leave a review with a direct link.
- Next step: for customers who did not buy, a single gentle follow-up with something useful, not another discount.
- Review the results: chats, orders, paid orders, opt-outs and the questions that came up most. Use them to plan next year.
Respect your audience after the sale. A burst of extra messages in December after an intense November is a quick way to collect blocks.
How Dub Ai helps
Dub Ai’s AI sales agent answers customers on WhatsApp in their language, recommends products from your catalogue and sends a secure checkout link so customers can pay without leaving the chat. With abandoned basket follow-ups, customers who build a basket but do not pay receive a reminder with the payment link. Our team helps you prepare and submit White Friday templates in English and Arabic weeks in advance, and runs the campaign to your opted-in contacts. During the sale, your staff get alerts for new orders and for chats that need a person, and you can ask your assistant for a sales summary on WhatsApp at any time.
Frequently asked questions
When is White Friday?
White Friday is a November sale in the UAE and the wider region. Amazon’s advertising guide says it begins on the Friday after US Thanksgiving and typically lasts four days, which points to 27 November in 2026. Retailers choose their own dates, so many start earlier or run longer. Pick your window and announce it clearly.
How early should templates be submitted?
Aim for about four weeks before the sale. Many templates are reviewed quickly, but a rejection, a change of category or a rewrite takes time, and November is a busy period for every business. Submitting early leaves room to fix problems and to prepare both English and Arabic versions without rushing.
